After having practiced in established mental health facilities across both rural and urban settings in Kentucky, Maja Cupać became growingly frustrated with the clinical limitations of practicing within the framework of institutional and corporate settings. In addition to this, she noticed that a lack of diversity within the field of mental health was contributing to less-than-superior efficacy for patients. With these factors in mind, Maja established Olive Tree Counseling in 2014. The goal always was to treat patients with empathy, compassion, and clinical excellence. In addition, Maja set out to become the area’s foremost expert in treating relational/developmental trauma, shock trauma, medical/surgical trauma, as well as traumas related to exposure to combat and near-death experiences (suffocation/drowing/anesthesia)
I provide clinical supervision to counseling students and LPCAs. My students are also able to provide therapy at a reduced rate.
